My journey as an entrepreneur began in 2016, a few years after moving from Japan to Southern California. My first project was redesigning a website for a wedding photography and videography company. The company was struggling to attract new clients, so I completely overhauled the site from the ground up, adding new features like a portfolio, testimonials, an FAQ section, and a blog. The client was thrilled to see a significant increase in customer inquiries shortly after the launch. Since then, I’ve worked on various projects, including transforming non-responsive websites into fully responsive ones.

Having been born in Japan and now living in the U.S., my long-term stays in my home country provide a unique perspective. My deep-rooted connection to Japanese culture serves as a rich source of inspiration for my creative work.

After the birth of my daughter, I took a break from web design. However, my creative side remained active, and I started creating flyers for friends—a beloved activity I've continued for over 10 years using Canva. During this time, I also embraced the world of AI, mastering the technology to create consistent AI avatar images, videos, and even AI-powered commercials that help brands build a unique identity.

I’m currently curating a dedicated "Flyer Collection" page to showcase these projects, which demonstrate my eye for design and my ability to deliver effective and beautiful visuals.

When my daughter began preschool, I took the time to reflect on my career. I transitioned into working as a Tax Preparer, leveraging over a decade of experience as an Accounting Clerk at various companies, including a law firm in Japan. This diverse experience exposed me to the inner workings of businesses of all sizes, from a national firm to a global company, which significantly broadened my perspective.

But deep down, my passion for creativity and helping entrepreneurs never faded. That drive led me to establish SoCal Creative Works.
